This chart compares the remote patient monitoring (RPM) policies of the ten states that reimbursed for RPM as of January 2014. State policies were compared across seven categories, including the clinical conditions, agencies or providers, and types of monitoring eligible for reimbursement. This chart accompanied CCHP executive director Mario Gutierrez’s presentation at the World Congress Leadership Summit on Remote Patient Monitoring on January 30, 2014.

This second edition of CCHP’s “Cost Efficiency Studies” examines telehealth-related studies, pilot projects, and programs that evaluate telehealth’s cost effectiveness and efficiencies when used in health care settings. Studies conducted in the United States and published between 2007 and 2014 that highlight telehealth’s cost savings were included in the chart.  Each entry includes a summary of the study, key findings, and important features about the study design. 

The purpose of this fact sheet is to establish and clarify standards and expectations associated with the delivery of occupational therapy services via information and communication technologies. Failure of occupational therapists (OTs) and occupational therapist assistants (OTAs) to comply with this regulation will be considered unprofessional conduct.

On September 25, 2013, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued Mobile Medical Applications: Guidance for Industry and Food and Drug Administration Staff (The Guidance). The Guidance is meant to provide clarity and predictability for mobile medical application (app) manufacturers and other interested parties.
