With funding from the National Institute for Health Care Management Foundation (NIHCM), CCHP conducted a research study on policy changes that need to be made in order for federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) to utilize telehealth to address the opioid crisis.
Timely access to specialty care is a serious issue, particularly for California’s rural and underserved populations. With 3.4 million newly insured, this issue has worsened. The use of electronically delivered services is one way to help alleviate demand and improve quality.
Funded by the Milbank Memorial Fund, CCHP conducted a study to assess and describe telehealth private payer parity laws, the relative impact the laws have had on private and public payers, and develop recommendations for improving private payer parity laws.
Funded by the California Health Care Foundation, CCHP worked in conjunction with the University of California San Diego to help improve the policy and reimbursement environment for the use of telehealth to control tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
An estimated 1.2 million Mexican citizens reside in California without legal documentation. Undocumented immigrants are prohibited from enrolling in the federal Affordable Care Act, including the Medicaid expansion.
