COVID-19

Private Payer

Many states have laws requiring private payers provide some type of reimbursement for telehealth delivered services. During the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE), many states requested that their insurers expand the services they allow to be provided via telehealth, the types of providers that are able to deliver those services or required them to pay the same rate as in-person services. These policies are temporary and most will expire at the end of the PHE.
