National Telehealth Resource
Center Partners

Telehealth Resource Centers, or TRCs, are committed to implementing telehealth programs for rural and underserved communities across the nation. There are 12 regional and 2 national TRCs that provide assistance, education, and information to anyone interested in or actively providing health care at a distance.

What’s a TRC?

Recognizing the nation’s need for telehealth development and resources, the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT), established the first TRCs in 2006. Since then, the program has grown to include 12 regional TRCs covering every state in the nation, and 2 national TRCs with specific topic focus areas. CCHP acts as the national TRC on policy, and The National Telehealth Technology Assistance Resource Center (TTAC) provides expertise in telehealth technology.

In 2017, the 12 regional and 2 national TRCs came to work collaboratively as the National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers (NCTRC), with CCHP acting as the administering entity. As a Consortium, the TRCs are committed to helping organizations overcome barriers, promote telehealth education, and provide robust resources. Under the NCTRC, the unparalleled amount of knowledge, expertise, and resources of each TRC can be leveraged on a nationwide scale to provide quality technical assistance to every program, health facility, and provider pursuing telehealth.

The NCTRC is dedicated to playing its part in expanding the reach of healthcare and sustainable telehealth programs in local, rural, and underserved communities for the most vulnerable populations.
